US registered nurse (RN)looking for employment in Europe.

American

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English French Spanish

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

France UK Netherlands Germany Anywhere in Europe

What field do you currently work in?

Community care/home care

What fields have you worked in before?

Med-surg CCU Community health/home care

What qualifications do you hold?

Bachelor's in Nursing Master's in Health Administration

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Both becasue you get to use a theoretical framework to deliver evidence-based care

Describe the benefits of working with others

Learning and supporting each other

Describe the benefits of working alone

Ability to use critical thinking skills to priotitize for the optimal benefit of those in your care

What was your worst working experience?

Having to care for 40 patients by myself on a busy long-term care unit for the first time as an agency nurse

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

That people are unique with very different physical and social issues. It's important to use all our skills, knowledge and resources to deliver holistic care

What unique skills do you have?

Self-starter, focused, good time management, excellent assessment and interpersonal skills, both clinical and management experience

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Any job where I can make a difference however minute

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The variety of patient needs and situations

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The myriad of governmental and insurance regulations hampering the delivery of quality/needed care to needy patients
