Afrikaans first language, Excellent English second language, Excellent What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Netherlands or Finland, because Dutch is very similar to Afrikaans. Or in a warmer country. What field do you currently work in? I'm currently finishing my degree in Theater Technology. I will be available from November and have one year work experience What fields have you worked in before? Waitress Shop assistant creative assistant, art director's assistant on a television show Props master for a production company Stage Manager for a theater production Puppeteer, performer and creator What qualifications do you hold? Diploma in Theater Technology Certificate in Jewelry design Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills, working in the creative industry has taught me more than I could have learned at university Describe the benefits of working with others Social interaction, meeting interesting people and really getting to know them. Helping one another out and learning from each other. Describe the benefits of working alone The final product will be created by an individual, therefore the individual will take responsibility for his or her work from the beginning and in every aspect. What was your worst working experience? Being harassed at work. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Always be honest and stand up for what you believe in. What unique skills do you have? I'm a puppeteer at heart. Puppetry is my passion, I design sculpt and paint my own puppets as well as write the script. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Being a puppeteer in a theater. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Working with interesting people and doing out of the ordinary jobs What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Working overtime, unpaid Why are you looking for a job overseas?
