any type of teaching employment, conducted in English (teaching Russian/Ukrainian/Hebrew at all levels)

What nationality are you?

Israeli, living in the Netherlands for 6 years

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Russian (native) English (near native) Ukrainian (excellent) Hebrew (near native) Dutch (basic)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

anywhere in the Netherlands, with preference for Amsterdam/the Hague/Rotterdam/Utrecht areas

What countries have you worked in?

Netherlands Canada Israel

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Netherlands (a Dutch work permit as a highly skilled specialist who earned his PhD in Amsterdam)

What field do you currently work in?

Academia and University (research)

What fields have you worked in before?

University teaching Media

What qualifications do you hold?

a PhD (also MA and BA)

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

University training equipped me to be a very successful teacher (proved by student's feedback)

Describe the benefits of working with others

learning from others, creating a spirit of a good team

Describe the benefits of working alone

concentrating on personal achievements and monitoring progress achieved

What was your worst working experience?

as a newcomer in a large and turbulent News-Journal, having to learn a lot at the beginning

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

being patient and tolerant with regards to other people opinion and concerns, not rushing to make conclusions based on the assumption

What unique skills do you have?

I have an extensive experience in academia and published research as well as in a real-time teaching in class

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

the one that will allow me to implement at least part of my skills in the real-life practice

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

helping students to discover other culture and other language, the world different from their own

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

the necessity to pay attention to the routine aspects of syntax, grammar etc

Will you be able to work using internet, offering online or video courses?

I believe Internet offers fantastic options to create flexible schedule for just any student based on his or her needs. I am very interested in conducting online courses and using video conference.
