I'm Portuguese.

Portuguese and English (bilingual) French and Spanish (good knowledge)

I would like to get a job in Netherlands because I love that country.

Just in Portugal.
What countries do you have a visa to work in?
As an european citizen, I can work everywhere in the EU.
What field do you currently work in?
I'm a professional journalist, with large experience in International Politics, Sports and Economy.
What fields have you worked in before?
Always as a journalist, mainly (23 years) in the most important portuguese newspaper ("Jornal de Notícias"), where I was editor. I was a senior journalist, which includes a large experience as proof-reader. I'm also author of a historic novel ("Nunca Passes Além do Drina").
What qualifications do you hold?
An incomplet degree (just four years) in Literature (French and English Studies). Several international courses of Journalism (at invitation of the French, British and German governments). Expert in Net research; good knowledge of Microsoft tools.
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
Both. Formal education is important because it gives you an important background; however, skills are also quite important, specialy if one develop natural potencialities.
Describe the benefits of working with others
Personaly, I like to work in a team, because we can take advantage of the team sinergies. This mean everyone of us is different, with natural fragilities and strengths, but together we can reach the goal.
Describe the benefits of working alone
Some kinds of work are better if we work alone, such as proof-reading and war journalism (because of the risk), but usually is always better working as a team.
What was your worst working experience?
The war. I've covered several (Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo) and it was terrible.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
We must respect even the most simple worker if we want to be respected.
What unique skills do you have?
Leadership. I was always a leader (in the scouts, in the army, in my professional and personal life).
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
A job with a good environment, where one can get and transmit something positive to the others everyday.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
Learning and teaching, the two things which I like more.
Wjat are the least interesting aspects of your field?
A leadership that just don't know what is doing.
