| Yahoo! Answers: What is my best option for joining the armed forces? I am 21 years old and I have my B.S. in Business Administration with a Minor in Sport Management. I graduated in May with a 3.5/4.0 GPA from SNHU and I am from New Hampshire. I have been looking into service within the armed forces since around April now. I saw a kid that I knew from High School that was a grade lower than I an he had recently joined the Marine Corps and it got me thinking why can't I do that. My ultimate goal in life is to start my own gym by age 40. I know that I need to accomplish many more things before this actually occurs. (mostly in the form of a career) Especially since I have about 80, 000 out in student loans, stupid private universities, haha. I have always been an active guy and enjoy being active which is why a business career currently does not appeal to me since the only real active jobs within a business industry are those which require you to do sales and to hope that people will buy from you. (In that field now and I hate it) Not to mention that I want to help people and soliders help people by helping the entire country. I was talking with a recruiter from the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was literally a few forms away from signing up to serve. I have the uttmost respect for the people that choose to serve our country and this is my ultimate reason why I would love to be one of those people. I also thought about a career in law enforcement as one that would appeal to me for the time being until I can have the start up for my business venture. Of course I also realize that starting a business requires you to operate in the red at least for awhile when you are first starting up which is why I need to get these loans paid off ASAP, I know a lot of people that are 40-50 still making payments. I just want some kind of outside advice as to some of my options. I have explored and explored with only one thing occurring more confusion! Just looking for an outside perspective. I know the benefits and cons of service an honestly to me they completely even themselves out whic |
