| Video: Tops In Blue 01 Intro "To Dream" Kadena Air Base Okinawa Japan Tops in Blues 2009 - "To Dream" This is the intro song for this years Tops in Blues. The theme for the show is about hopes and dreams. This was my first show and I was surprised that they Tops in Blue are staffed by regular Air Force Members and is not part of the Air Force Band. They are just regular folks with everyday AF jobs -- from Accounting to Personnel, Fire Dept, Linguist, F15 repair, to Antenna & Cable, Radio Repair to other jobs. ssgt Wendell Boone had the first song "The Impossible Dream" taken from Man of La Mancha. He is a Tops in Blue - Vocalist from Clarksville, Tennessee. He is an Air Transportation Apprentice, and works for the 69th Aerial Port Squadron, Andrews AFB, Maryland. The old days we called it MAC - Military Airlift Command. He may work turning aircraft around or he might refuel them. Or he could be working at the Terminal, checking in bags and turning Retirees away (just kidding Wendell). 1st Lt Angela Waterworth Acquisition Program Manager (she buys things for the Air Force) 711th Human Performance Wing, Books City Base, Texas. She is from Scottsdale Arizona and she is the Officer in Charge of the group. This surprises me, being old AF, I thought they would had have a more senior officer in charge. But and an Officer is an Officer and she had a good handle on it. Of course what she lacks in exerperiance is made up for by her senior staff msgt Herbert Ancog and msgt James Green. I was in the back with msgt Green and he had a Directors presence X;b>...X;/b> |
