| YouTube: New Jersey Unemployment Down While the state lost over 4100 jobs in June, the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development reported a tenth of a percent drop, to 5.3%, in its unemployment rate. New Jersey did manage to add 100 public sector positions, while it saw a total of 4100 jobs in manufacturing, transportation, and retail displaced.
