I have worked in the Advertising, Public Relations, and Insurance Industries. What qualifications do you hold? I have over ten years experience as an Executive Assistant in a corporate setting utilizing customer service and computer technical skills. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Although they both have their advantages, I believe a formal education would be more valuable, since it would develop knowledge, mind and character. Having a degree could bring additional benefits when seeking a promotion. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others creates strength, unity, reliability and support. A team can promote and compliment individual skills to reach desired goals. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone can bring a level of satisfaction for a job well done. There is a opportunity to focus on all the variables involved in a task using individual skills and experience. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience involved working with an unmotivated group who were not reliable. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I think the most important lesson I have learned throughout my career is to consistently treat people with respect. I have received positive responses in most situations when there is a level of respect for both colleagues and customer relations. What unique skills do you have? I am a great listener which assists me in identifying the needs of a customer or colleague. Listening helps me to separate what is important and to be responsive. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job setting would be an administrative/customer service position within the Hospitality Industry. This would incorporate both my technical and people skills. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspects of the Hospitality field are the public relation skills involved in satisfying the organizations clientele. Serving the public on multiple levels and engaging people in a good experience. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least interesting or disappointing aspect would be a dissatisfied customer. If you cannot meet a customers expectations, it can be frustrating. |
