School of nursing What qualifications do you hold? B.sc human anatomy Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Formal education because you need formal education to be able to display your skills professionally. With formal education, you can relate with individuals at different levels. Also with formal education, you would come up with brilliant ideas on how to promote your skills. Describe the benefits of working with others Team work, competition, patience, tolerance, more ideas, determination, friendship and most of all no man is an island of knowledge so i would also learn new things from other members of the team. Describe the benefits of working alone Focus, proper time management, i would push myself to do more because i know that if i don't do it, no one else will. What was your worst working experience? Working with no materials and tools like models, internet access, writing materials, labs projector etc. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I have learnt that if my students do not understand what i have taught them, then i have achieved naughting and my time wad theirs have been wasted. I have learned that Understanding is the basis of knowledge. What unique skills do you have? I am fast in understanding when i read and excellent in explaining to others in a simpler manner. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Heading a research laboratory. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? When marking the scripts of my students i am interested in seeing them come up with creative examples and simple diagrams sketched just for explanatory purposes. It tells me that they have gone beyond what we have done in the class and it alp shows their interest in the course. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? When my students do not understand what i am teaching and also when they show no interest in understanding. Are you satisfied with teaching? Yes. I derive joy in sharing knowledge.
