| Questions: Energy Assistance programs? I am 18 years old. I was emancipated at 16, and there for do not have the support of my family. I have my own apartment in which I have a program that pays $430 of and I pay $150, doesn't sound like much money, but when you have not had a stable job for a little over a year, its hard to come across. My energy, through progress energy, has been disconnected due to non payment. My existing balance is $421.54, thats including the reconnect fee. I went to my department of social services before it was disconnected but they said you had to have someone age 60+ living in the household or someone on a breathing treatment in order to receive assistance. I have called all the resources I could find on the internet and yet found no one to help me. If anyone knows of a program that can assist me please provide me with the information. If it helps I am located in Wake County, Raleigh North Carolina. Any suggestions are appreciated. |
