| Does healthcare facilities in North Carolina have different labor laws than say My fiance just started her LPN job as a nurse at a Nursing Home. She had to work 50 hours this week (2-13 hour days and 2-12 hour shifts this week! My question is, for the additional 10 hours she has worked, does she get paid time and a half (overtime)? Or does the health care system have to follow different rules? Also she was only able to take a 20 minute break on a 13 hour shift, doesnt she get 2-15 minute breaks and at least a 30 dinner break? Im just wondering because it seems that healthcare does not have to follow labor laws |
