Formal education or skills and why? skills. you can't learn in school what you can learn offshore. Describe the benefits of working with others being a team player means being a good leader means one day being a good captain. Describe the benefits of working alone showing what you're made of and being a high liner means an extra cup of coffee in the morning. What was your worst working experience? high water alarm went off and I had to go to the engine room and bail 5gallon buckets of water out and prevent the boat from sinking. hot wiring a water pump to start pumping water out of the engine room. then had to replace all the wiring that was submerged. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? safety first. What unique skills do you have? I've caught the most fish in the gulf of mexico for 16months straight. high liner. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? rough sea fishing or captain What are the most interesting aspects of your field? showing where you succeed where others fail What are the least interesting aspects of your field? being cold and wet for a long period of time. not being able to dry off and warm up. is there a possibility of you becoming the first mate or captain one day? yes, I will try my hardest to be the best deckhand you've ever had. and I want to start now or asap.
