Professional Development TrainerWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for a Professional Development Trainer for Teachers. I train Teacher to be more effective in the classroom and students to be more successful. (On Professional Development Days or during the Summer). What nationality are you? I am a naturalized American. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak English. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am currently working in the United States. I am looking forward to working in Europe(Norway) and continue working in Liberia as well as other countries because I have a passion for Education. By training teachers to be more effective, the students will therefore be very successful! What countries have you worked in? I have worked in Liberia and the United States. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I have a visa to work in Liberia and the United States. What field do you currently work in? I currently work as a Certified Time To Teach Trainer(Training Teachers to be more effective in the classroom) and also as a Licensed Practical Nurse. What fields have you worked in before? I have taught in General Education Elementary and Middle School classroom as the lead teacher. Most recently, I taught a Special Education Elementary class as a lead teacher at a Catholic School. What qualifications do you hold? Presently, I hold a Masters Degree in Christian Education, I am a Licensed Elementary, Middle and Special Education Teacher, a Certified Time To Teach Trainer and a Licensed Practical Nurse. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe both forms of education are important and necessary. Formal education enables an individual to learn the theoretical aspect of education and Skills education emphasizes the practical aspect of education. One aspect is included in the other, thus making education successful. Describe the benefits of working with others The benefits of working with others include accountability, teamwork, feedback(both positive and negative), collaboration, brainstorming, deligating among others. As the saying goes, two heads are better than one. When working with others, there are more ideas and solutions to problems. Describe the benefits of working alone When working alone, an individual is solely responsible for the input and output of a project. One engages in self education, sets goals,hypothesizes,make predictions and arrive at conclusions independently. What was your worst working experience? When a student attacked one of my colleagues. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? That everyone has the potential to learn and be successful. What unique skills do you have? I am certified in CPR and First Aid, can type, computer skills, have some bussiness skills. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job would be assisting teachers be more effective in the classroom and students being more successful worldwide. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Seeing students achieving their personal goals and my colleagues being more successful. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Seeing students and teachers giving up.
