What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a teaching position in Drama, English or both.

What nationality are you?

British

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking for a teaching position in Norway because I now live here.

What countries have you worked in?

Britain

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Norway.

What field do you currently work in?

I am unemployed.

What fields have you worked in before?

I have taught drama at college level and I have also taught English as a foreign language.

What qualifications do you hold?

BA (Hons) In Theatre and Media Drama. Cert/Ed

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I believe that formal education and skills are closely linked. Speaking metaphorically, If formal education is the jockey then skills are the horse.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others will give you options of other peoples concepts which you can share, benefit and develop from.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Concentration can be developed and you will have the ability to nurture your own ideas and expand on your strengths.

What was your worst working experience?

Being attacked by a student.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Teaching people needs patients, communication and interpersonal skills so, I have learned to sit back and listen to my students and understand that there are so many ways of learning and teaching by which you must be adaptable.

What unique skills do you have?

Intelligence, maturity, patients, communication and interpersonal skills, life experience and empathy.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

To be able to teach students who wish to learn!

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Watching a student develop intellectually.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Having a disruptive student who I cannot reach in the term of understanding.
