Our Utility Locate Technicians enjoy a wide array of benefits. Our “mobile office" approach to work means that you will never have the same day twice. Our Locators work from a company vehicle utilizing our state of the art ticket and claims management systems to ensure clear and complete mark out services for the excavator or property owner. This position requires you to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and use a company provided laptop to document and close all tickets. Our 48 hour turn around time on all ”locates" means we generally work the day after holidays and some weekends (as needed). The qualifications for this role are as follows: 1. Good driving record: We provide a vehicle and all the locators equipment, so we must ensure that the driving record is good. We realize that there may be a ticket or two but we can NOT have any DUI's or excessive points/tickets on a driving record. 2. Critical Thinking Skills: Due to the fact this position has a great deal of flexibility, we need someone who can think out of the box, get their work orders done every day and use their critical thinking skills to work through how they are going to make it happen each day. A supervisor is available in the area always by phone and usually an hour or two away drive time. 3. Strong Attention to Detail and technical aptitude: We provide exceptional training, mentoring and coaching to our employees, but they must have an aptitude for detail. 4. Ability to follow instructions: Our job is key to helping other businesses complete their parts of building projects, bridge construction, and other parts of a project, so we must know that our locators are following explicit instructions given by our clients.
