The drive to develop commercial applications of biotechnology is global in sweep,the social and economic consequences of biotechnology will be as important as those of the nuclear and chemical technologies. Biotechnology promises significant benefits specially because many of which are not solely economic. The potential benefits include enhanced agricultural productivity through the development of new animal and plant strains,new life saving medical products and techniques and environmental benefits by lot of ways.
