Kuwait DGCA Civil Aviation July 2008 – July 2009

Aeronautical Engineer Aviation Safety Specialist

Carry out ramp inspections on local operator A/C registered in Kuwait in compliance with I.C.A.O procedures and Kuwait civil aviation safety regulations, (safety assessment of foreign aircraft.) I also approved maintenance organization structure, function man power, facilities, and equipment which are undertaken by the accountable manager, as per the company maintenance organization exposition .taking into consideration the vital roll of human factor in aviation industry. Some of my responsibilities were:

 Approval of amended A/C maintenance program originating from the maintenance planning document , maintenance review board report (MRBR) and ensuring airworthiness limitation sections , life limited parts and other important prerequisites are fulfilled.

 Approval of A/C M.E.L which must be more restrictive than the manufacturer M.M.E.L .

 Carry out A/C certificate of airworthiness renewal by vetting a/c technical records and physical inspection of a/c as per approved chick list.

 Audit operators’ base and out station facilities , followed by findings remedial action as per the level of finding interval.

 Ensure that certificate of maintenance review is enforce.

 Approval of operators’ key personnel depending on the qualifications held by the applicant .

 Random surveys on operators while implementing maintenance activities on A/C undergoing maintenance checks or defect rectification.

 Correspondence among other aviation authorities for safety issues.

 Ensure that part M , G AND F of Kuwait civil aviation regulations is adhered by strictly.

 Issuance of air operator certificate.

Midex Airlines /United Arab Emirates June 2007 – July 2007

Quality Assurance Manager

Ensuring continuing airworthiness by preparing A/C for certificate of airworthiness and by following the airworthiness limitation sections:

 Ascertain pre-flight check of A/C has been done as per approved check list .

 Embodiments for the contents of SILS, AOTS, ADS and SBS .

 Follow safety procedures while performing A/C maintenance.

I was responsible to audit the company base and line station facilities as per a predetermined schedule to ensure safety and maintenance procedures were complied with.

 Audit findings were categorized into level with respect to their importance .

 Prepare and submit audit reports to the Quality and Facility Manager describing the status of the audited facility recording the findings observed and their levels , remedial action follow up.

 Participate in aircraft incident and deviation from approved procedures done by maintenance personnel.

Middle East Airlines/Beirut, Lebanon January 1979 – July 2001

Quality Inspector/Maintenance Control Center

My responsibilities and duties were to monitor maintenance tasks FOR complying with the approved maintenance data and the application of safety procedures.

 As a member of the maintenance control center includes trouble shoot defects to reach the root cause of the defect and associated system tests recorded in maintenance data.

Line Maintenance Engineer – Inspector

My function was to inspect transiting aircraft maintenance as per inspection sheet and to trouble shoot defects to find the root cause in order to replace the defective component.

 Supervision of a team of Mechanics while performing maintenance activity on aircraft .

 Fly onboard aircraft for maintenance purpose .

 maintenance coverage for considerable period of time for the out station facilities.

 Responsible for certifying and signing aircraft maintenance log book (certificate of maintenance release).

 Perform maintenance checks on aircrafts remaining on the ground for more than 6 hours .

Industrial Engineer

I was nominated to attend a course in Birmingham, England which covered Method and Time Study.

 Determine the bottle neck of work and boost up the productivity of work cycle in engineering department .

 Applied activity Sampling and Time Study for maintenance task to eliminate loss of effective work time.

 Review methods of implementing maintenance tasks and modifying it to take advantage of productive time.
