Wanted CNC Programmer COMPANY PROFILE:Located in Ottawa, we are looking for a CNC Programmer for our manufacturing facility specializing in precision machined components and assemblies for Aerospace, Defence and high technology markets. This is a full time, permanent opportunity. BENEFITS: Full time position Salary: to be negotiated Benefits include: Dental Benefits, Life Insurance Benefits, Group Insurance Benefits RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to: Required to create milling and turning CNC part programs, utilizing multi-axis CAM technology. Create Setup and Tooling Sheets. Update and correct part programs for 1st off prototypes designs and repeating jobs Inform and instruct machinists about new machining practices and process cycles Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies. Responsible for implementing cost saving improvements by reducing cycle times and CNC program efficiencies. Implement industry changes and improvements in cutting tool and machining technologies Incumbent must function independently to maintain and update computer files. Maintenance of detailed records for all CNC programs. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years of programming experience. Must be able to program to within .0001 tolerances. Demonstrated knowledge of high speed machining practices. Experience in 3, 4 & 5 axis machining mandatory A full understanding of 5 axis CNC machining. Proficiency with Gibbs Cam an asset. Background in Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing an asset. Strong attention to details. Experience with Fanuc and Heidenhain machine controllers required Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbal Must be able to multi-task and manage time effectively Absolutely must be a team player, willingness to work with conformity and ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to take initiative to make decisions.
