Looking for a JobWhat type of job are you looking for? I am looking for a job that is customer oriented, one which requires me to interact with people and provide some sort of service. What nationality are you? Guyanese What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English- excellent reading and writing skills. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Canada- Toronto. There is no real reason why this area. I would be willing to work in any location where is job is available that satisfies the prerequisites that I am looking for in a job. What countries have you worked in? Guyana What field do you currently work in? I am a Economic & Financial Analyst at the Ministry of Finance for the past job. This is my first and only job after graduating from University. What qualifications do you hold? Bsc. Economics Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe that both are prerequisites for efficient functioning on the job. A formal education provides you with the essential guidelines, in other words, acts like the manual for the work environment, however, the skills which you garner from formal training, on the job or the ones you learn as you grow aids in making you more productive and specialized in the specific field of work. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others has many benefits but most importantly it allows you to hear the opinions of others and in many instances may bring you to the realization that tasks/ activities can have different methodologies whilst achieving the same output. However, determining the most efficient methodology should be the final decision. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone in many instances can be more time efficient as well as allows self improvement in the tasks assigned. It teaches the person not to be dependent on others to achieve the desired outcome. What was your worst working experience? I believe that there is no such things as a bad or negative work experience, every situation is a problem/issue that needs to be resolved. If that situation/ issue becomes negative in any way it just means that you have not done a good job at addressing it appropriately. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson learnt on the job is that personal job satisfaction in the work you do is more important than accolades. If you expect a "tap on the back" or a reward for every good job done you will be waiting long periods or depressed in the work you do. What unique skills do you have? Excellent ability to interact with people and listen to there needs and find creative ways of addressing their issues/ concerns. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? A job where I am given the opportunity to make people happy or make a difference in their lives. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspect in my present field of work is that I am part of the development planning of my country. ia m aware of the new and pipeline project being undertaken that aims to make the lives of people better. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least interesting aspects are the data entry and sometimes long meeting which are non- productive. Why should I be hired? I should be hired because I am a willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. I am an honest and disciplined individual who is willing to be part of a team of professionals.
