Answers: Labor Law advice needed - lawyers only please?

Thank author of this post/commentI know the economy is tough. I know the job market is tough. However, I have a gut feeling that what my husband's company is doing is illegal. They have cut his hours repeatedly. They also continue to alter the pay structure nearly every pay period. They have dropped him, in total, from $15/hr. to $10/hr. and cut his commissions dramatically. They just told him that if they don't feel his ROI (return on investment) number is high enough next pay period, they aren't going to pay him his hourly AT ALL. Can they do this? He is an salesperson (not outside) located in Oregon. There is no written employment contract. His most recent paycheck was for $57! Thanks for your answers. I contacted the state directly and they let me know that while it is entirely at the employer's discretion to change/reduce hours, and even reduce wages (as far as minimum), they are not allowed to reduce wages retroactively. In other words, once the hours are worked, they can't come back and say "we're not going to pay you for those hours because you made commissions/because your ROI wasn't high enough." They will have to pay him for the hours he worked.
