Looking to find employmentWhat type of job are you looking for? I am open to various opportunities which may be available. I am more than willing to work in a wide variety of work situations. I am looking for something that will stimulate the little gray cells. What nationality are you? American What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English is my native language I speak a little Spanish, however I plan to learn the language once I relocate or any other language of the country I reside in. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Panama and countries in Central and South America. However, I would consider employment in other countries which have a warm climate. What countries have you worked in? United States What field do you currently work in? Health Care What fields have you worked in before? Mental Health and Social Work What qualifications do you hold? BS Degree from West Virginia University Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine Diplomate in Pain Management Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe that a formal education has great value in the sense that it provides an individual with a basic understanding of many areas of life. There is simply no substitute for the benefits one gains as a result of a formal education. HOWEVER, having a formal education doesn't mean that one is able to preform a specific task at a higher level then someone with developed skills. I know people with PhD's who are unable operate hand tools or repair a flat tire. If I was in a survival situation in the Amazon jungle, I would value the local guides opinion much more than that of a Harvard graduate with a degree in economics. Describe the benefits of working with others I have worked with people all my life in both a professional and nonprofessional basis. I enjoy meeting people and inteacting with them on various levels. That is one of the enjoyments in life! Relationships can have positve benefits for both parties. I enjoy listening to people and trying to understand how they think and feel about various subjects. I have worked as a Clinical Counselor for a number of years and found the work to be very rewarding. Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone can also be benefital in the sense that your able to manage your time with out supervision and one is required to be more self motivating. What was your worst working experience? I managed a multispeciality medical facility which offered Family Practice, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic and various Medical Specialists who would provide services. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Over the years I have learned to be patient! I have also learned how to interact with people on various levels and to teach and motivate them to preform at a higher level than they were use to and they enjoyed it! What unique skills do you have? I am a people person. I interact very well with people and as stated earlier, I am a good listener. I am self motivated and very capable of functioning with out direct supervision. When I start a project, I complete it! I consider myself to be a thoughtful and empathic individual with above average intelligence. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Actually, I can think of many dream jobs. That is why I am reluctant to list a specific job title or area of employment on this site. I would say that I would enjoy finding an employment situation where I am helping people in some way. That I find to be very rewarding! What are the most interesting aspects of your field? As a Chiropractic Physician for 30 years, it was interesting to see how the profession evolved over the years. When I was first in practice, the profession had a less than positive public image. However, over the years Chiropractic has gained acceptence world wide in spite of the AMA's aggressive campaign to eliminate the profession. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Dealing with the lawyers representing patients who were involved in personal injury cases. I have found very few of these so called professionals to be honest or ethical. A group of individuals I no longer need to associate with! Please replace this with a question of your own I am wondering how benefital it was to complete this form?
