Describe the benefits of working with others Someone once said, "No man is an island". The only way to succeed in the financial world is through the creation of teams. A team is successful when the team members complement each other and the end result is greater than the sum of its parts. I have been involved working with teams and have seen the success of those who understand their roles and seen the failures of those that do not. I would like form part of a team that advises clients as to how to reach their financial goals and objectives, What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting part of my field is portfolio construction. Using the correct asset classes to maximize a portfolio within a client's risk tolerance is something I not only find interesting. I find that it provides me with a great feeling of accomplishment. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? The least interesting aspect, however, I am clear that it'd not the least important, is the regulatory/compliance area. As markets get complicated and individuals have been over-exposed to unsuitable risk, regulators have been forced to tighten the regulatory guidelines. This area has come to control much of what we do everyday. Why would you consider leaving a good (stable) position to venture to a place where you have never been to? As you get older, and wiser, you feel that after half your life, you have not been exposed to other cultures and other ways of doing things. There is a world out there waiting to be discovered. I feel that through my set of skills developed through experience I have a lot to offer. How can potential employers contact you? I have tried to present this with enough information so that it will be meaningful to the reader while maintaining some anonymity for obvious reasons. You can email me at cjosecap@yahoo.com |
