I am a naturalized citizen of the United States. Although I have lived in the United States for the majority of my life, I have also traveled extensively to Panama and I am up to date with the political, social and environmental status of this country. I have worked extensively in the administrative field. I have over 10 years of experience. I have over 5 years experience as office manager. What qualifications do you hold? I am motivated and enthusiastic. I am fully bilingual and manage time wisely. I have excellent telephone skills. I have extensive knowledge in Word and Excel. I type 75 WPM. I have vast customer service experience as well as excellent people skills. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe that both formal eduation and skills go hand in hand. As a second year student at the University of Phoenix; I believe that formal education is valuable and highly recommended to be able to succeed in life. Life skills that have been obtained through on the job training are also valuable as they provide you with the knowledge that you can only obtain through experience and not through books. With both formal education and skills a person is empowered to be the best employee for their company. Describe the benefits of working with others As a highly motivated people person aspiring a job in the hospitality industry, I believe that working with others is of utmost importance. With working alongside people, we learn and grow. It is essential that we understand the importance of respecting others opinions and points of view. Describe the benefits of working alone At times we are challanged to work on our own and their is a benefit to that as well as to working with others. As we work alone we are able to concentrate on the task at hand and we are able to apply our critical thinking skills. What was your worst working experience? The worst working experience I have encountered is working for someone that lacked leadership qualities. "Without a captain, the boat is destined to sink". What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson I have learned in my career is to be a team player. I believe that if we all have a team player attitude, we are headed in the correct direction. What unique skills do you have? I am able to type 75 WPM. I am able to multitask. I am able to handle situations under pressure. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job would be a job that would enable me to travel across the globe.
