What countries have you worked in?

Canada, US, Bahamas, Turks and Cacos, Domincan Republic, US Virgin IS, British Virgin Is and Mexico

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

At this time, none but US

What field do you currently work in?

As a Merchant Capt with an International Oceans liccense. As a licensed Private Investigator and security consultant in Florida.

What fields have you worked in before?

What qualifications do you hold?

US Merchants Masters License,3000 ton, any Ocean. GMDSS International Radio Operators License, Florida P.I.,armed security license

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Most anyone with time and money can go to school, be exposed to education, get a degree and become an educated idiot. Also not everyone working in a trade becomes "skilled." In this world, the idiom of live and learn isn't always true, most people just live. A truely skilled person is a treasure.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Two people working together get the results of three. A good Manager will keep good employees, happy employees generally have a happy, stable homelife, less drug and alcohol problems and at work have higher achivement levels.

Describe the benefits of working alone

It's generally like masterbation, completion of the prodject at hand is up to you and you are generally working with a better class of people.

What was your worst working experience?

Running a 106 ft Motoryacht for an owner who thought that owning a Yacht automatically made you some sort of expert. He knew absolutly nothing about boats, docking etc, but insisted on shouting orders to the crew. We had an attitude adjustment session and I promised I wouldn't tell how to pay the bills, he wouldn't tell me how to run the boat. The crew loved this arrangement.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Live well, do a good job, make your Mother proud. Don't take yourself too seriously, the world will go on just fine when your gone. Laugh a lot, particularlly at yourself. Before you start to expound on some subject, remember, an empty drum makes the most noise.

What unique skills do you have?

I can really run a boat and most of my old crew would quit what they are doing to come back to work for me.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Running a good boat with a good crew for a good person or company. A place where you are given a job with the authority and tools to do it.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

New conditions most every day. Day after day meeting interesting people

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Answering these type of questions when for some reason, hopefully beyond your control, you have to look for new employment

Do you think anyone is really going to look at this?

Not likely, but it's kind of like reading the Bible, with the right attitude it gives you hope.
