ESL/ESLBL or Social Studies Teacher

What type of job are you looking for?

I am looking for a teaching job. I would like to teach ESL, ESLBL or Social Studies.

What nationality are you?

American

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English (native)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I am looking for work in Panama because that is where I am relocating too.

What countries have you worked in?

USA Italy Germany Greenland Turkey Greece

What field do you currently work in?

I am a high school teacher and a home care giver.

What fields have you worked in before?

Education Dental Medical Human resources

I am a certified teacher. I am certified Social Studies grades 6-12. I have more then 20 years experience in the dental and medical field.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

I value them equally. I received excellent training from the military and was able to perform my job quit well for many years. I went on to school to continue my professional development. One enhances the other.

Describe the benefits of working with others

The education you gather from others is valuable and cannot be measured. It's a get chance to get to know people and network. Important information can be taught and shared.

Describe the benefits of working alone

There are times when one needs to work by themselves to get certain task completed. Sometimes it's easier to concentrate if your by yourself.

What was your worst working experience?

When I was working in the health care field and a patient died on my shift.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Not everything is what it seems to be. Get all the facts before you make any decision.

What unique skills do you have?

I have an awesome sense of humor. I have the ability to handle difficult situations. I can see the potential in people and I am very compassionate.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Teaching English to Panamanian students.

What job would you never do?

I would never be the president of the United States.

Why are you in this career field?

Because I can't see myself doing anything else.
