Close Protection(Security)

New Zealand

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

English(fluent) serbo croat

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Security-Because that is what i have specialised in for the last 20 years

What countries have you worked in?

East timor,Bosnia,Iraq

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

nil now

What field do you currently work in?

Just retured from iraq and not currently employed due to having a break

What fields have you worked in before?

close protection,vehicle convoys and VIP protection aswell as installation security

What qualifications do you hold?

Dyncorp close protection course (US State Department)

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

i consider both to be the same,with knowledge you have the skills and with skills you have the knowledge,one doesnt work without the other.

Describe the benefits of working with others

the benefits of working with others is very important .as a team you achieve more productivity aswell as new skills which broadens your knowledge base.

Describe the benefits of working alone

independance of working alone ,no one to answer to and the benefits of satisfaction when your daily goals are met.

What was your worst working experience?

going out on a patrol where the team members didnt get on,the client could sense hostility within the team which wasnt only unproffesional,but it was not a enjoyable enviroment to work within.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

never ever ASSUME....assuming is very dangerous

What unique skills do you have?

I have the ability to not only use my combative skills i aquire but also to use the skills of other people who have a different range of skills for different life situations

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

one on one close protection with someone like the pope

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

self awareness,real life situations and the feeling of alertness

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

paperwork
