Qualified Carpenter, Qualified Site Foreman, Qualified Site Manager, Poject Manager, Diploma in Construction Management

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills, if you are a determined person you learn along the way, if you are only educated, you may not have the necessary ability to pass on your knowledge to those under your supervision

Describe the benefits of working with others

Many hands make light work, a team player picks up many benefits in and out of the workplace

Describe the benefits of working alone

You alone are responsable for the outcome of whatever you put your hand to, a great level of personal satisfaction can be gained

What was your worst working experience?

Not being paid for a project completed

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

To always be honest with yourself and everyone you come in contact with

What unique skills do you have?

Carpenter, Team leader, good communication, good planning and time management, computor skills, good supervisory skills, workplace health and safety, environmentaly aware, can think quickly, ability to make good decisions.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Helicopter pilot

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Putting together a construction plan, implementing procedures and following them through to completion gives me a great sence of satisfaction

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Dealing with dishonest and un-reliable people

Are you good at what you do?

I am very good in any field of Construction, from civil through to structural, no job is too big. I do not get overwhelmed, but rather follow procedures put in place, modify existing procedures to procure a positive outcome
