full time pharmacist job

What nationality are you?

Filipino but a United States permanent resident.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

fluent in English at a highest level & speaks fluent tagalog too.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Papua New Guinea. I am looking for a new challenge in my career.

Philippines and currently working in the United States

What field do you currently work in?

Pharmacy

What fields have you worked in before?

Twenty eight years in retail Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist, and one year as a Hospital Pharmacist in the Philippines and currently working as a pharmacy intern in retail pharmacy in the United States.

What qualifications do you hold?

Licensed pharmacist in the Philippines and currently as a Pharmacy Intern in the United States.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

In my opinion I consider formal education and skills very valuable to a person, because both contributes to their qualification. And furthermore, it enhances a person's potential to manage to survive and be sucessfull in their chosen career.

Describe the benefits of working with others

The benefits of working with others are tremendous. One, it enables you to interact and grow intellectually with your co-workers. Second, you gain better perception and understanding of the different personalities and the diversified cultures you deal with in the workforce. Best of all, the goodwill that you establish with your co-workers is invaluable and significant that you can keep as you journey through life.

Describe the benefits of working alone

The benefits of working alone is, it enables the individual to develop and sustain their own decision and creative potential.

What was your worst working experience?

I cannot recall of any worst working experience. I always turn uncomfortable situation into a constructive learning experience.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

Everyday is always a challengeto face and that contributes to a growth in my career.

What unique skills do you have?

I consider my sewing an outfit or a dress, my unique skill. When I finish sewing a project it gives me immeasurable satisfaction and a great pride.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

I still consider my pharmacy career as my dream job. With this duration of my practice it enables me to enrich my knowledge to a broader horizon.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The most interesting aspect of my field, is when I do counseling, the knowledge that I am able to share to my clientile, and make them satisfied and happy.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

The least interesting aspect of my field is when it get's so busy in the pharmacy that I have the least time to spend to counsel my patients.

Is being independent important to me?

Yes, being independent is vey important to me because as an adult I learned to take care of myself. It also made me stronger to face the challenges and realities that this world has to offer.
