Teaching ESL to Korean, Chinese and Japanese students What fields have you worked in before? Radio broadcasting What qualifications do you hold? I have bachelor's degree in mass communication I teach intensive English pronunciation I teach TOEFL, IELTS, and TOEIC and also English conversation/discussion I am an academic supervisor to 120 ESL teachers I was a broadcast journalist Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Although having a formal education is a must, i still think that the skills are more valuable. we learn these skills through the experiences we gain, especially from our mistakes. thru these, we learn more and it motivates us to strive better. Describe the benefits of working with others working with others makes us learn. we learn from the other person's ideas and skills and thru that our skills and experience converge...and we share what we have learned. Describe the benefits of working alone working alone can give you that focus at times. people need moments of solitude to reflect what he/she has done for the day. What was your worst working experience? getting embarrassed by a student's question. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? i have learned that you learn from the people that you work with, whether they have a different job item, or not. they contribute to who you are and what you are. these people are the ones who would be speaking for you. they could either vouch for you or speak ill of you. thereby it is important that you extend the basic courtesy to all and respect them for what they believe in...and learn from them.
