I am looking for a call center job or and office job that allows me to utilize my telephone skills and typing ability. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English What State are you looking to work in and why? Central PA: Harrisburg, Hershey area. I live at home with my working parents and would have to be transported to work via CAT's Share-a-Ride. What field do you currently work in? Unemployed. What fields have you worked in before? After graduating from high school, I worked as an assembly worker creating care kits for prisoners. What qualifications do you hold? I obtained my typing/secretarial skills while attending high school for college prep. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? For me with limited actual workplace skills, I have to rely on, and consider more valuable, my education. Describe the benefits of working with others It offers the opportunity to learn from others as well as enhancing social skills and teamwork building. Describe the benefits of working alone I imagine that working alone offers few distractions and forces an individual to use their creative skills. What was your worst working experience? I have only had one temporary job and I can not recall anything I would consider as a bad experience. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? When you do not understand what is expected of you-ask and them move ahead. What unique skills do you have? Personally I feel that my positive attitude and my clear speaking manner are both attributes. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? To work in an office setting where my speaking voice and typing skills will have a positive impact on my employer and co-workers. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Speaking/meeting a variety of people What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Not being considered an equal at times because of my blindness. Why are you completing this form? I have been searching for part-time employment utilizing OVR and a job coach as well as searching myself. I want employers to know that even in this hard economic time, people with handicaps can offer them the same skills, loyalty and commitment as people without them.
