I am looking forward to work in Norway because I know that this country has a better view and has the best focus when it comes to their health care. and as a nurse, I believe that I can use my nursing skills in Norway to improve the Norwegians Health care. What countries have you worked in? I have never experience to work in other countries. What countries do you have a visa to work in? At this moment in time, I don't have my visa yet but I am working with that to have a visa as soon as possible. What field do you currently work in? Right now, I am enhancing my nursing career and nursing skills in serving a government hospital here in the Philippines as a non permanent staff nurse. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked as a part time clinical instructor in one of the caregiver school here in the Philippines. What qualifications do you hold? I am graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing in Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology. I am a board passer of the Nursing Licensure Examination which I have taken on June 6 and 7 2009. I took up Master of Science in Nursing and got 9 units from it. With my complete background in the Nursing Education, I also posses the Nursing capabilities and skills that can be used to serve the Norwegian people. And with my experience, I believe that I am capable in becoming a staff nurse in Norway. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I consider formal education more valuable because when you have formal education, you will also acquire the skills that you need in order to improve and to become a better person. Describe the benefits of working with others The benefits of working with others is that I learn how to become a better person whenever I get the chance to help other people and those who are in need. I also learn more when I meet other people and when i start to collaborate with them, it enhances and widens my knowledge and skills to become a more globally competitive nurse. Describe the benefits of working alone The benefits of working alone is I will become more independent and self reliant. And working alone doesn't mean that I'm not gonna learn, I will learn more when I am alone because I will get to know myself better and I will discover the things that will improve my personality and it will make me a more better person. What was your worst working experience? My worst working experience is when I get to work with one of my patient who underestimated my career and told me that nurses are just like maids. It lowered my self esteem at that time because that word maid is very degrading because I have studied four years in order for me to become a professional nurse. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson that I have learned is I become happier whenever I get the chance to help other people. I will become a better nurse when I put that inside my heart and work without hesitation in helping others. Nurses heals in their own unique way, and that is to become happy with your work and your profession and learn from it. What unique skills do you have? I believe that every man has a unique skills and I can say that I can handle a pediatric client very well. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? I would consider working in abroad as a nurse is my dream job. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? The most interesting aspects of my field is the thrill, the excitement and the adrenaline rush whenever I encounter different scenarios in the hospital setting. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? In my own opinion the least interesting aspects of my field is the refusal of the patient to cooperate when it comes to the improvement of their health care. What values do you have to enhance the quality of care in your field as a nurse? Being a Filipino, I have learned a lot of values when it comes to treating my patient in a respectful manner.
