Job Opportunity: Country Manager (2-Month Contract)We are an online travel agency who are looking for a candidate who would be interested in a 2-month contract to meet with management of specified hotels and resorts and get them listed. This position will entail extensive nation-wide travel to various provinces in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Position: Country Manager Job Type: Full-time Contract Start Date: First week of November Contract Duration: 2 months - November first 2 weeks of December, and, first 2-3 weeks of January Base salary for 2-month contract P70, 000 (P35, 000 per month) Allowance @ P15, 000 per month P30, 000 Travel insurance / emergency medical insurance P15, 000 Bonus of P30, 000 upon achievement of project goals We will take care of booking accommodations and flight tickets for the trips. The ideal candidate will have the following background: Has a bachelors degree in Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field from a reputable Philippine university At least 8-10 years experience in the tourism industry, travel agency, or hotel industry in a sales, account management, travel/tour guide, or customer service function and has some experience in managing corporate accounts Based in Metro Manila Computer literate (internet, excel, access, word, PowerPoint, email, scanning /faxing documents) Can effectively communicate in English and Tagalog; having a third dialect is preferred Willing to travel for most of the 2-month period Personable, with the ability to build business relationships Proactive and goal-oriented Experience in conducting presentations to all levels of management Has a cell phone Has a laptop computer with internet and email capability and a portable projector, or can rent them Has a digital camera and can upload and send pictures via the internet; some photography skill is preferred Some entrepreneurial or project management experience is preferred Responsibilities: Understand how to use our travel website (training will be provided) Organize the sales coverage and trips; develop the most efficient itinerary based on the target listing of providers we will provide Arrange for, and conduct meetings with, decision makers of target accommodations partners Effectively sell the business strategy, value proposition, advantages, benefits of partnering with us Effectively Communicate the technical proficiencies required of accommodation provider personnel who will manage the back end of our website Secure signed copies of the contract agreement, or follow up signing of the contract agreement until completed; send signed copies; fax a forward copy Communicate weekly and monthly updates and status Schedule the technical training with accommodation provider personnel who will manage the back-end operations of their offerings on the website Send original copies of documents, and fax forward copies Document partner feedback from the meetings with accommodation providers Collate accommodation providers business information; take pictures of accommodations/rooms, amenities, towns/cities visited; get copies of accommodation brochures, get information of their website, names of key contact persons and their contact information, etc. Provide clear accounting of all costs, keeping official receipts of expenses; mail the original receipts Achieve monthly and project targets and arrange personal travel/emergency medical insurance using funds provided |
