I am currently working as a chef and also lodge manager What fields have you worked in before? I have worked as food and beverage manager,hospitality consultant What qualifications do you hold? I have a diploma in hotel and catering management, certificate in lodge management, certificate in food and beverage management Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I consider both as more valuable because you need both of them for one to be able to perform professionally Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others is very appropriate because you share ideas and tackle challenges together and hence projects are completed before the deadline period Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone is also good because you have your own pace and all the decision making matters are all yours What was your worst working experience? It is always a challenge to work with staff who are not per scale what you want them to be and hence i did work with staff who had the least exeperience when it came to hospitality and I had to motivate them and educate them appropriately What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson I have learnt is that TEAMWORK is the only way forward.If you are a manager you dont have to sit all day at your desk and give orders.learders lead by example What unique skills do you have? catering, motivational, interpersonal, communicational, leadership, computer literacy, budget planning,stock management What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job would be as an Executive chef What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
