What country or area are you looking to work in and why? Pomerania region of Poland. Gdansk seems most metropolitan of all the areas. My main reasons for wanting to work in this part of the world are personal. What countries have you worked in? America What countries do you have a visa to work in? None. Manufacturing, Carpentry, Outdoor sales, direct sales, telemarketing, retail sales, showroom sales What qualifications do you hold? High school degree, several years experience in multiple fields Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Skills. A formal education after high school, at least in the American institutes, seems to educate our youth more on paying exorbitant amounts of money for something intangible, and overrated than it does actually teach them about their trade or profession. Spend enough to buy a nice BMW with features, and you get the opportunity to listen to a group of old hippies tell you why they hate or love certain political ideals for 4+ years, at the end of which you are presented with a glossy sheet of paper. No thanks. I learned what i know because I had to or I didn't eat. Now THAT is retained knowledge. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others not only presents you with a chance to grow professionally, AND personally, but it grooms into you certain leadership skills that will aid you in any job function you choose. Describe the benefits of working alone Solitary work helps build endurance, self-reliance, and self-discipline. These are skills that will aid you anywhere. What was your worst working experience? In high school I worked at a local restaurant. At the end of the night, the duty of cleaning bathrooms at the end of the night fell upon me. Not a problem, no qualms about getting my hands dirty, except that someone had gotten very, very, very sick in the ladies room... To my merit, that bathroom was pristine by the time i left work. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? With so many, it is hard to name just one. Self-discipline, self-motivation, the importance and benefits of a high employee moral. How to lead groups, as well as myself, etc. What unique skills do you have? Very strong verbal and written communications skills in the English language, including an ability to approach a perfect stranger and engage them in such a way they talk to me as if we've known each other for years. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Something i do not dread the night before. I'm pretty flexible as far as this one goes. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? I always marvel at the rush of a sale. That person neither needed nor wanted this product when i approached them, and I leave them knowing that because of me: A. They needed it. and B. I helped them get it. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? Commission work. What are your sallary expectations? In America, roughly $28,000 - $30,000/yr base with commissions. In Poland, it would flux given the cost of living vs. the Zolty value. How can potential employers contact you? JGHudson112185@Comcast.net |
