Short-term job wanted ALBUFEIRA

What type of job are you looking for?

A short-term bar/restaurant-job, I can do whatever needed as long as I make enough to live and eat. Available from end of May till mid of August.

What nationality are you?

Norwegian

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

Norwegian - Main language (fluent in speaking / writing and understanding the language)

Swedish / Danish - Language is close to own main language (I understand danish and swedish and they understand me)

English - Secondary language in school (as good as fluent in writing and understanding, close to fluent in speaking)

German - A part of formal education (can use and understand simple phrases both written and spoken)

Portuguese - Still learning! (I know a few phrases and words both written and spoken)

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

Portugal - Albufeira / Portimao. Love these places and have a girlfriend there I would like to spend some time with.

What countries have you worked in?

Norway

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

Norway

What field do you currently work in?

Military health care

What fields have you worked in before?

Restaurant, telemarketing, sales, military, healthcare, service

What qualifications do you hold?

Qualified ambulance personnel, drivers license, driving license for emergency vehicles.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

In this line of work I would see skills as the better part. People going to holidays in a bar wont care if you know all the facts and theoretical information about drinks and music as long as they get satisfied. I think being a warm, open person with people-skills is important for working in a bar.

Describe the benefits of working with others

The opportunity of learning from each other, keeping each others mood up in hard times, giving each other feedback and of course working together for the same goal!

Describe the benefits of working alone

You have no one to rely on but yourself, you get great responsibility and you can really show what you are made of. I must add that I am a team-player as well as a leader if necessary.

What was your worst working experience?

I have yet to have a bad working experience! Everything is what you make out of it yourself and I have high morale.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

"Prepare for the worst - hope for the best!" That way you will never be surprised if anything unexpected happens. It can be everything from being up in good enough time before work to have a fail-safe, to set your mind for a hectic day in case a lot is going down.

What unique skills do you have?

The skill to shake loose and smile no matter what happens, and I feel that I'm good at reading peoples mood, but that is more of a social skill.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

A job where I earn enough money to live and eat, good colleagues with a smile on their face and good relations with my superior.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

The ability to let people with both minor and major traumas and diseases feel safe and comfortable even though they are as vulnerable as they are.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

There are none.

What are your best sides?

Best: I am a quick learner, polite and open-hearted, punctual and I aim to please.
