What nationality are you? brittish What languages do you speak (and at what level)? only language i speak is english What country or area are you looking to work in and why? i am looking for work in portugal because a friend of the family owns a bar in portugal and i would have accomadation and would really like the oppurtunity to try something different. What countries have you worked in? i have only worked in england What countries do you have a visa to work in? no current visa as yet apart from england What field do you currently work in? i currently work for a shopfitting company but i also av an NVQ level 2 qualification in bench joinery. What fields have you worked in before? i have worked behind the bar in my parents old pub. I went straight into shopfitting when i finished full time education. What qualifications do you hold? qualified bench joiner. NVQ level 2. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? i would say that i consider skills more valuable because of the job im currently in. good hand skills are required but also a lot of quick thinking so education is just as important. Describe the benefits of working with others i feel that workin with others makes you a better an approachable person because your surrounded by other opinions, not just your own. Also being sociable creates a better working environment. Describe the benefits of working alone I have never worked alone but the benefits are because you have to make the final decisions and the fact that you know fully what is going on in your own working environment helps to know exactly how the jobs going to go. What was your worst working experience? my worst working experince was cleaning horse stables, not because i didnt like cleaning it was just the fact that i didnt like horse very much. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? my most important lesson is that even if your in a job you dont particulaly enjoy but it means it will lead onto bigger and better things that you will enjoy, stick with it! What unique skills do you have? i feel i am a sociable person, a very approachable person. most of all i feel i am a hard worker and dont mind getting my hands dirty for the better of the job. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? my dream job would be to go to australia and help out with the wildlife because i love animals. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? interesting aspects are the fact that i go to different places and meet different people. also the fact that i use interesting tools and machinery. Wat are the least interesting aspects of your field? sometimes the job can get very repetitive and slow but when its busy things are much better. has anyone been a role model for you in your life? i feel that anyone that puts in 100% into there work and gets what they want to achieve out of life is a perfect role model. steve irwin.
