I'm looking for work in Porto because I really want to settle there. I love the cultural surroundings and the warmth of the people. Also I wish to be based in the same city as my girlfriend.

I currently work as a television channel editor.

I have worked in Retail, Production, Construction, Customer Support, and now New Media/Creative Writing.
What qualifications do you hold?
I have a Bachelor Degree in Film, Media and Television, but my highest achievement is my Master Degree in Film Studies.
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
I think it's important to have a mixture of both. While books and classes supply knowledge, skills demonstrate practical/technical experience.
Describe the benefits of working with others
It's great to work as part of a team. In this manner you can learn from, and help eachother. Consulting others in the work place can increase the value of the final output, through advice and suggestions for improvement.
Describe the benefits of working alone
It depends alot on the nature of the job. Working independenly allows a different mode of concentration, creativity, and problem solving.
What was your worst working experience?
Working within a mundane environment with a lack of variation. I recall working on production line as a summer job. Twelve hour shifts performing the same action of labelling boxes.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
That patience and calm are the key to knowledge and successful completion of my working responsibities.
What unique skills do you have?
I am a very creative individual, and each respective creative mind is unique in itself.
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
Working within a television/film studio as part of a close-knit team.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
Contributing towards the creation/production of mass media products, and the creativity that coincides with that.
What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
I am fully interested in my field, and I am happy to see my contribution to the eventual output.
What values would you bring to a potential new working environment?
I would supply enthusiasm, and a will to develop existing skills further - individually and as part of a team. Also I would demonstrate my commitment to the cause, and my strong communicational skills.
