I completed my Bsc IT degree (3 years) and completed my honors degree in Computer Science. I have been working with the SAP system for the past 3 years. I am currently a IT HR business analyst in South Africa, and deal with the SAP system maintenance in Human Resources. My line of work would include anything to do with computer systems (with preference to SAP) What nationality are you? South African What languages do you speak (and at what level)? English - conversational & business english Portuguese - basic portuguese, can answer and understand portuguese. Afrikaans - conversational What country or area are you looking to work in and why? What field do you currently work in? SAP system (computer systems) IT industry What fields have you worked in before? SAP system, abap coding, java coding. What qualifications do you hold? BSC IT degree Honors degree in computer science Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I think both is crucial. Formal education shows the dedication that you will give to a job and shows that you will work hard and persevere till the job/task is completed well and skills is what you gain over many years of working and all the experiences you have come across. Both is very crucial. Describe the benefits of working with others You gain a lot of people skills and you can share many different ideas with each other. You can also delegate or share many tasks among the team. The main benefit is that you can help each other achieve the same goal. Describe the benefits of working alone You can express you own views fully and take full responsibility for it. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? I learnt that in order to get the most experience and learn the most, sometimes it is best to be thrown in the deep end of the ocean. In order to get the job done well, you need to put in 110%...go that extra mile and put that extra effort in. What unique skills do you have? I have a coding background and have that logic of coding in various languages. I enjoy working with computer systems. I am eager to learn and to apply my knowledge in the workplace. I can apply my knowledge in various systems and learn very quickly. I can work in a team ( i currently work in a team environment, project environment). I am a loyal person and a hardworker. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? The job i currently have in south africa (working with SAP systems) but in algarve. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? I really enjoy working on the system and enjoy coding in ABAP. Why am i looking for a job in Algarve when i already have a job in South Africa? Security and safety reasons. Crime is a main factor for me wanting to immigrate. I also visit Algarve Vilamoura almost every year and i love the Algarve, it just feels like home to me and i just feel at peace there.
