Hello,I have spent over twenty years in film (movies) and television production in both Canadian and American film and tv. My English wife and I are seriously considering relocating to Portugal as the climate and culture there is lovely and for the time being affordable. I have taught temporarily at the college leve, and within the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, where I was employed for 11 years. It would be great if anyone could direct me to any potential film/tv teaching positions at the practical college level. Drama and story is my forte

I am a highly experienced and well qualified teacher of English language and literature at secondary level. In addition I have taught Business English to Angolans and have had some experience in editing and writing (reports, articles, promotional pieces). I also have considerable secretarial and administrative experience. I am willing to take on anything in the teaching, writing, general assistant line. Originally from Zimbabwe, I have been living in Loule in the Eastern Algarve for 18 months and can manage some elementary Portuguese - although I cannot claim fluency! I am reliable, loyal and conscientious with a gentle, courteous manner and a pleasant speaking voice. I am very keen to be working and willing to take on part-time work and whilst teaching is my profession I am interested in any writing, editing or general assistant work that may be available.

I am looking to start a teaching career in Portugal. I just graduated college with a BA in Art History. My boyfriend lives in Portugal, and I will be moving there soon. I am wondering if I should do this two year program in the states called, "Teach America"so I can get experience. I do not have experience teaching, however it is my passion. I want to teach children. Is it better to obtain teaching experience before I go? Or will it be possible for me to find a job even though I have no experience? Im wondering if the CELTA certificate is more highly looked upon than a teachers certificate from the states? • Page 1 (Original Post) •
