Hey guys, i worked in a bar called Mickey Gs in Lagos last summer and im hoping to come back again this year. Work is pretty easy to come by, as people are always moving about etc and theres always flyering jobs for bars (the best job in my opinion! Same money and a lot more chilled out!) As far as i know, most of the bars dont have websites or at least i cant find any, so i think the best bet is to just look when you get there. You wont be out of work for long. Last summer, the average pay was 20euros a night and most apartments were about 15 a night, so dont expect to make money!! If you havnt got any accomadation lined up, i really recommend Carlos House hostel (search on wwww.hostelworld.com), i stayed there for a week, and its a really great hostel. Hope that was of some help! xxxx

hey guys, I'm a 22 year old austrian girl and already stayed this and last summer in lagos for a couple of weeks. I met so many great people there and i found a lot of friends, so I really want to work in Lagos for a couple of months!I'm worked alreadyas waitress and as receptionist in austria and spain and in london as barmaid. Since for four years I'm working in the RossoBar in Fügen/ Tirol (www.rossobar.at) as barkeeper - so I'm really trained for this kind of job! I also worked in a shop for snowboard & surf stuff for a whole year! So you see I already have a lot of expierience in working overbroad, barkeeping, and hotel&gastronomic jobs and as shop assistance! I speak fluent english and german, my french is good and I have basics in spanish and italian, and I also would like to learn portuguese! So if you have interest to give a job to an attractive, friendly and nice girl, who loves lagos and likes to work, please write me an email or post on my myspace or facebook site! Thanks

Hello a friend and I are traveling to Lagos this summer. We are both looking for work through out the summer as bartenders and or waitress work. I Marika, speak Polish and English and have worked as a bartender and waitress before at a fine dining Mediteranean restaurant in Toronto. I have been managing a large successful clothing store for a little over a year now and am very knowledgeable with customer service. My friend Kari has experience in serving and as a bartender. She now works at a gym as a trainer and dietician. We are very interested in work within the town of Lagos and hope to hear from someone soon.

G'day all, My girlfriend Bella and I are heading to Lagos in June and hoping to find some bar work or something similar. Both have worked in busy London pubs (Walkabout, Shepherds Bush) so are used to the fun / busy / hard working atmosphere that is expected in Lagos for the summer. I am a qualified barman with experience in all aspects of bar life including management, and Bella has worked promotions / bar / cloakroom as well as waitressing at a busy Italian chain resturant (Zizzi). Any help with places to look for work and accomodation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sam • Page 1 (Original Post) •
