Also with hospice, home care, organ donor and private companies What languages do you speak (and at what level)? fully bilingual (english and spanish) What State are you looking to work in and why? i am looking to work in puerto rico because I am planing on relocate there. What field do you currently work in? presently i work in the icu. We take care medical, sugical and cardiac patients. I also work perdiem in the post-op area. What fields have you worked in before? Medical/Surgical floor. What qualifications do you hold? New York RN license Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? My 11 years of experience in the icu unit where I take care all kind of patients. I am a preceptor for new nurses to the unit and students from college that are ready to graduate. As a charge nurse I also participate in joint commision surveys. Excellent skills with family members, and the only spanish speaking nurse in the unit. I can count worst working experience with one hand, but plenty of sad experience. I will never forget when a young man passaway holding my hand with his mother singing to him. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most importand lesson is the I have lives in my hands and I most do everything to take care of them with dignity What unique skills do you have? compassion, understanding, sensitivity, friendly, among others What would you consider as your 'dream job'? My dream job is not to much different that what I do know. As long I am helping people one way or the other. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? There are many aspects interesting of my field, I like see when the patient come in critical condition and within the 12 hours shift or 24 hours period they are better. Or those those who we think are not going to make and after weeks or months they come back to say thank you. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? None. Everything becomes interesting. It's like a new challenge every day.
