Filipino expat seeking employment in Guam or Hawaii

What type of job are you looking for?

A job in Sales and/or Marketing, where my potentials will be fully maximized. I consider myself a "Jack of all Trades" having been promoted numerous in the companies that I have worked for.

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I speak, write and read English and Filipino fluently.

What State are you looking to work in and why?

Guam and Hawaii. I grew up in the Philippines wherein the promixity to the sea is the same as the afore-mentioned States.

What field do you currently work in?

Marketing

What fields have you worked in before?

Sales, Customer Service

What qualifications do you hold?

I am not a Degree Holder but I have been honed thru years of experience.

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills. As i have experienced thru the years, your skills are what really set you apart. Formal education can be achieved while I'm working anyways.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Working with others develops your sense of teamwork. I love to work with others because it shows what I am as an individual and what I am as a team player. You can learn and share what you have learned to others.

Describe the benefits of working alone

Working alone develops self-confidence. If I have to work alone to achieve my job, then it will challenge me in ways that will bring out the best in me.

What was your worst working experience?

I don't consider any work experience that I have done as bad or worst because I always see the positive things and what I have learned from them. I always bring what I have learned to the next job.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

A happy employee does his best if the company he works for treats him right.

What unique skills do you have?

I have been around. I'm a welder/shipfitter/stock clerk/tour guide/tour coordinator/project researcher/analyst/sales agent/document processor/sales assistant and marketing assistant.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

My dream job would be in the field of Marketing and/or Sales. I believe I'm best suited for jobs that deal with people, where my inter-personal skills are fully utilized.

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Dealing with different types of people.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

Dealing with the wrong kind of people.
