i'm looking to work in an industrial field that requires fiber optic and laser tehnology communications.

prefferably qatar or dubai but not a must. anywhere in the world.

i'm a new graduate and never worked in my field before.

i have an associate degree in laser electro-optic technology and currently going to school to get an associate degree in fiber optics and will graduate in may 2010
Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?
both are actually important but i would consider skills more because you learn what you exactly need and get a chance to test your results and learn from your mistakes.

Working as a group is an important thing. first, it can shorten the time of doing a project. you can learn more information that you don't know from others and if you mistake, they will cover it for you.

working alone can teach you how to become independent and you can show the company that you are working for how much experience you have.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?
before you start any project or lab report, pull up some information about what you are doing and read manual guids.

can write good lab reports. easily can deal with new equipment and computer softwares. have good thoughts in managemant.
What would you consider as your 'dream job'?
my dream job would be a job that i love to do, respectful enviroment. a job that respects what i do for them. and in addition the good pay.
What are the most interesting aspects of your field?
fiber optics and lasers exist everywhere; hospitals, industries, military and they can be found in many devices that we use everyday; computers, enternet, dvd players, etc.
What are the least interesting aspects of your field?
complicated in somehow and always improving and that means that the technician always has t get training and learn about the new things.
Can you start working immediatly or we have to offer training?
i would start working right away but would be great if i get training before because i'm a new gradute and need training to be able to work perfectly.
