Working as an Wireline OperatorWhat type of job are you looking for? I am interested in working as a Wireline Operator. I have 13 years experience as an Operator and Supervisor with Weatherford wireline, Unfortunately, Our shop as closed and I'm now looking for a job in the same field. I have many certificates such as WHMIS, First Aid, Petroleum Safety Training, Vaild Class 01 drivers licese, Radiation Safety etc.....I also have an excellent driver's abstract. What nationality are you? I'm Canadian.....currently living in Alberta, Canada. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speek English What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I'm willing to work in any Country What countries have you worked in? I have only worked in Canada What countries do you have a visa to work in? I presently don't have a work visa What field do you currently work in? I have previously worked in the Oil industry for 13 years What fields have you worked in before? oil industry Fishing industry What qualifications do you hold? I have a 12 week course in Tractor Trailer Heavy Equipment and a Powerline Hazards safety training. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? I believe Skills and Experience are more important. I agree that we need some education but as for myself I am very confident in my skill abilities. Describe the benefits of working with others The benefits of working with others can be very useful in that we can watch and observe and learn from eachother. Even tho I am very confident in working independently or in a team setting Describe the benefits of working alone Working alone can be very beneficial in a sense that we are totally concentrated on just one aspect of your own job per say. What was your worst working experience? I cannot think of any job that was a worst experience for me......I think I would really need to think about that, but nothing that stands out. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? The most important lesson I have learn about my career is that you can never be safe in your job. I am very loyal, hard working individual and took such great pride and loyality in the Company I worked for previously but Unfortunately, because of the economy and the shortage of work in our area, they closed. What unique skills do you have? Good Communication skills What would you consider as your 'dream job'? Working in the oil industry and doing something that I am very good at. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Some of the most interesting aspects of my field is meeting different people, and finding different ways of doing a good job for a customer.
