I am looking for a job that involves writing content, or in any way harnesses my English language skills or any role that an effectively tap my BPO, tele-collection, Operations Management or Sales and marketing experience. What nationality are you? Indian, Temporary Residence permit, Russia. What languages do you speak (and at what level)? I speak and communicate in English at Native level, it’s the language in which I have pursued my education and has been the official language at work. What country or area are you looking to work in and why? I am Looking to work in Russia, Saint Petersburg. I am relocating there in a short while as my wife is from there and we have decided to settle down in this beautiful city. What countries have you worked in? I have worked in India, although have traveled to the US for a short training on one of the American banking processes back in 2003. What countries do you have a visa to work in? I have work permit for Russia, Saint petersburg area. What field do you currently work in? I am currently working in events and promotions area as a project manager for an American Company based in India. What fields have you worked in before? I have worked in various supervisory levels for Outsourced business processes in verticals such as Credit card collections in the US, Australia. Technical support for an information security company for their clients in North America. BFSI customer service and collections. Corporate Events and promotions. What qualifications do you hold? Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering technology from IHM, Delhi PUSA. Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Administration Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? Ideally they should complement each other, but of course skills really matter when it comes to real world application of Job roles, demands of the work profile and responsibilities. Good for highly skilled operations such as Designing, creative writing, accouting and finance etc. What was your worst working experience? See one of my previous projects go down in spite of putting in a lot of efforts. It was a collections profile and the client was an international Major. they stopped disbursing the loans for particular segments shrinking the portfolio resulting in massive job cuts as we were supporting loan recoveries. Cascading effect not in our control but we had lots of job cuts. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? Where as its important to take in views from colleagues and subordinates. The most important thing is an absolute, uncluttered perspective, clarity and focus in what you need to do and courage of your conviction to achieve the desired results is a must. What unique skills do you have? There are a lot of skills that i have aquired in my over 10 year tenure, ones that will be most handy in Russia will be my English editing, a good general knowledge, experience of having worked with international clients. Experience in editing copywritten content. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? Get to learn a lot about other brands and an insight into the latest happenings of the industry as I get to be a part of lots of corporate events at the cutting edge of technology.
