formal ed. Standardized tests and programs probe ones ability to identify, personally, strengths and weaknesses on a scale applicable to everybody and with levels or grades. A skill is an ability to perform some physical action, usually applied to work or hobby and perhaps comparable to anothers's work. Educational level and skill level seem to be mutually exclusive. Education is mental requiring thinking more than performing and skill is performing more than pure thinking.
