Im looking to work anywhere in South Africa due to that it is my country and I would like to contribute to eliminating food insecurity in the many rural areas.i dream of South Africa being a fully developed country. I am not employed at the moment.im doing Honours in Botany at the University of Zululand,KwaZulu Natal. What fields have you worked in before? I have only worked as a Student lab assisstant in the Botany Department at my university. What qualifications do you hold? Bsc Botany and Microbiology degree. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? It is rather difficult to find the one more valuable than the other. Yes, possessing skills is of great importance and is what is required in order to have a job well done but formal education is what gives you the direction to use those skills in the best way possible.so it is safe to say that both are valuable in their own rights. Describe the benefits of working with others Working with others allows you to learn a lot. You may know a lot as an individual but the other person will surely know something that you dont. Also, it allows you to be more flexible in the work environment and the results may be better. Describe the benefits of working alone I would say working alone gets the job done quicker. you get to put all your ideas into motion. What was your worst working experience? I dont have any. What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? never ever leave things (that need to be done today) for tomorrow. This is a major downfall for many people and you can actually lose something that you have worked on for a long time. Efficiency and committment can get any job done well. What unique skills do you have? i have invented what i call my "last minute" skill. it doesnt matter how many things have to be done in a short space of time, i always deliver at the end.i never produce an unfinished job and i will work up to the last minute.anothe skill that i have have is that of perseverance. When i am hungry for sumthing, i will push foward and hold on until i have satisfied my hunger. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? A job in Agriculture that will have me directly having a hand impacting the rural communities of my country and the world at large in terms of food insecurity. If a job can allow me to research and produce results that will help in achieving my goal, then that job is definately my dream job What are the most interesting aspects of your field? the most interesting aspects are that my field shows that one doesnt have to have to be rich in order to live a normal nutritionally successful life. there are many narural products out there that have and are still to be discovered and will assist the world at large in whatever challenges that we are facing. My field is never-ending and discoveries will continue to be made everyday. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? i cannot think of anything least interesting about this field because it excites me so much. Why should a company choose you as their employee?
