South Africa. South Africa is the most leading country when it comes to social issues like poverty, unemployment, crime, abuse, HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, street children etc. therefore as Social Workers in collaboration with other sectors we can fight the problems of this country.

South Africa, as a Student Social Worker at Madadeni Department of Social Development.

Social Work (Final year Student)

Social Work (Student Social Worker)

What qualifications do you hold?

Honours Degree in Social Work (but i am still a student completing this year)

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Formal Education. Education is a key to success! therefore without education in some industries it becomes hard for you to get an employmnet.

Describe the benefits of working with others

"Working together we can do more". meaning that if you work as a team you can do the best because you share ideas, views, opinions and come up with one solution which can make a great difference depending on what you intend to do.

Describe the benefits of working alone

being dedeicated, committed and passionate you can achive what you want to achieve without being reminded.

What was your worst working experience?

working out of resources like computors, adequate offices really hinder us to comply with the principles and ethics of the profession. other than that, developing and maintaining a relationship with clients and colleague gives good outcomes.

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

being passionate about your work is good. we will understand that we work with diverse societies from different background, with different needs so we need to accept them as they are without discriminating or judging them. these people trust us and they hope that being with them could change their lives.

What unique skills do you have?

Leadership, Communication, Creativity, Assertiveness, Listening.

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Social Work and Pharmacy

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Working with Children.
