What countries have you worked in? i have never been abroad I've been in South Africa all my life. What countries do you have a visa to work in? none at the moment but we could work on that if needed or apointed to. What field do you currently work in? retail: service desk consultant at truworths. sale: sales representative for avon. What fields have you worked in before? At the moment service desk consultancy is the only field I've been hands on. What qualifications do you hold? I am Strelitzian matriculate. I studied IT at Varsity College for a year and a half but never completed the course but I am very computer literate and have great communication skills. At the moment I have enrolled for a bookkeeping course which ends in November. Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why? In the times we live in Education is vital and of great importance which I agree with because before you're able to apply the needed skills you do atleast need the knowledge and background of what you're persuing. Describe the benefits of working with others well for me working with others has helped me improve my communication skills, to mature from being shy and be confident in aproaching others. It has made me an effective team player and improved my time management. I now can get on well with a variety of people. but in all it has groomed me to be noticeable and aproachable to be friendlier and wiser and a great networker. Describe the benefits of working alone Being on your own sounds simple and easy but it is the most dificult field to follow though it has skilled me to be a leader and be able to manage time and situations surounding me. It has helped me understand the importance of my customers and to respect them no matter who they are, what they do or even how they treat me. What was your worst working experience? Having to admit that you're stupid and wrong to a customer even though you're right it's just a matter of respecting them and abiding to the rule that a customer is always right! What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career? treat everyone equally. never elt your frustrations out on others. remain calm at all times no matter how angry you are. listening skills. doing everything at your best and giving it your all. to value your job and its people. What unique skills do you have? I am of great talents. I am very understanding and am able tolerate what is intorelable. I am a good advisor, a thinker, and an ear to your every need. I have good communication skills. What would you consider as your 'dream job'? At an older age is to be my own boss. As much as I'm still finding myself I am sure I woul be able to persue a job that is customer related it could be an office administrator, a secretary or even a helpdesk/call center agent/consultant, a flight attendant or work in the airline industry. What are the most interesting aspects of your field? working with people and getting to know the world through the cultures and characters you connect with in the people you meet. What are the least interesting aspects of your field? I can't think of much but payment cause the amount I earn can't really meet my needs and I can't afford much with it.
