What type of job are you looking for?

A full time athletics and netball coaching job or sports co-ordinating job

What nationality are you?

South African

What languages do you speak (and at what level)?

I'm fluent in English and Zulu. I can read and write both languages.

What country or area are you looking to work in and why?

I'm looking to work in Durban, South Africa. But with my versatility I'm also eligible to move to any place in the country.

What countries have you worked in?

South Africa. I want to give back to my country before giving back to others.

What countries do you have a visa to work in?

South Africa

What field do you currently work in?

I'm experienced in and out the sports field,but am currently unemployed.

What fields have you worked in before?

I've coached netball and athletics(100m,200m,long jump) at high school level. I was successful at both

What qualifications do you hold?

I have a coaching science diploma (ETA),which also covers sports nutrition,sports psychology and child and youth development amongst other coaching aspects.

I have a level1 first aid certificate.

Life skills certificate (lovelife)

Which do you consider more valuable? Formal education or skills and why?

Skills,because they give you a hands on experience,and an opportunity to deal with real life situations.

Describe the benefits of working with others

Not only do you learn alot from others,but you grow as a person. You learn how to communicate,how to lead and how to follow. You are open to a vast of cultures and ways of thinking. You are also stimulated mentally and emotionally.

Describe the benefits of working alone

You get things done at your pace and standard. It's easier to set goals that are achievable to you.

What was your worst working experience?

None. I've had good experiences,and challenges that made me a better coach

What is the most important lesson you have learnt throughout your career?

As a coach;safety comes first. To be reliable,efficient,understanding and passionate. As an athlete; good sportsmanship and being a team player. Victory is the objective,but it's how you win that matters

What other skills do you have?

I'm a very good listener. I have the ability to enforce rules,yet remaining fair and firm. I'm also computer literate

What would you consider as your 'dream job'?

Full time athletics or netball coach,producing world class athletes

What are the most interesting aspects of your field?

Having to come up with new things(drills,game and strategic plans). Meeting new people and making friends. Being a positive influence in someone's life,and helping them reach their dream.

What are the least interesting aspects of your field?

None. Sports is fun and there's always a lesson to learn from any sport.

How will your personal achievements benefit your athletes?

As a sprinter who has reached provincial level,and MVP(netball),I know exactly what it takes to reach the top. Nothing beats experience.
